In October 2013, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums, members of the Colorado chapter visited Rome for what was an amazing, humbling adventure. We were fortunate to be given private tours of some of the museum’s most revered galleries as well as the laboratories where the restorations are meticulously performed. We even had an audience with Pope Francis himself, who was gracious enough to greet us all personally. It was an unforgettable experience and one that will be remembered fondly by all patrons who attended.
Dear Friends, May your patronage of the arts in the Vatican Museums always be a sign of your interior participation in the spiritual life and mission of the Church. May it also be an expression of our hope in the coming of that Kingdom whose beauty, harmony and peace are the expectation of every human heart and the inspiration of mankind’s highest artistic aspirations. To you, your families and associates, I cordially impart my Apostolic Blessing as a pledge of enduring joy and peace in the Lord
